Teo [videorecording] : future-maker for children / Nikoleta Stefanova.
Teo, future maker for children explores the life of an educator who is passionate about changing the reality of Bulgarian education and the attitude towards youth for the better.Teodor Vasilev is an educator and a specialist in working with children and youth, innovative methods of informal learning and a founder of Community Center “Future now” in Rhodope Mountains. He is teaching informal learning in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and has developed a system of courses and Erasmus + projects for both children and teachers. The main message that the film will communicate would be that to understand children, one must leave all of their preconceptions and emotional baggage outside and really try to get into the mind of children. How do you do that? By loving the children. If you love them and believe in them and you spend enough time with them, you will learn even more than if you communicate with adults.Teo is the person who expresses this idea. He is a very good example of a loving parent and a believer in children’s capabilities and uniqueness. He is a father of three, one girl and two boys. In the film, we take a look into his home and we get to meet his wonderful children, who are the supportive characters. The whole family radiates vibrant energy and happiness, yet not a Hollywood type of ecstasy, but a serene contentment.

Local heroes [videorecording] : Dima the hairdresser / Liza Bykhankova.
A short documentary film about Dima who works as a hairdresser in
a small Bulgarian town of Blagoevgrad. The central message my film will communicate is that the job of a hairdresser is not as easy as it might seem at the first sight. Dima reveals the struggle she had to go through in the beginning to be as successful as she is now.
The heart of my story is Dima who is a hairdresser in the small town of Blagoevgrad. The film follows her everyday life at work. Throughout the day she takes care of many different customers and approaches individually each of them. But she is not alone at the workplace. In her beauty salon, she has a colleague and a friend Kristina Popova, who has been working with Dima for two years. She tells the audience some information about what is it like to work together with Dima.
My creative vision is to create a documentary that reminds people about the significance of ordinary people in the service industry.
The story is going to follow a narrative arc structure involving three acts: beginning, middle, and end. In the beginning, the film introduces Dima and tells us what she usually does at work: her duties, methods, and working routine. In the middle act she will share the obstacles she encountered when she was just beginning her career: the learning process, the struggles she went through when starting the business, like lack of funds and mistrust of clients. In the ending act: Dima will talk about her going through all of the obstacles, developing regular customers who trust her, and successfully running the salon.
The target audience for this project is people interested in documentaries, local people of Blagoevgrad, and also those who like stories about ordinary people.

Belonogata [videorecording] / Petar Hristakiev.
Gergana Dicheva, who I would like to refer to as Ger, is an artist that one rarely encounters – she does not compromise her creative vision with anyone or anything. She has a certain style that expresses her identity. And what is really important is that she is not afraid to show it. Her main thing is painting but she is also interested in photography and modeling. When one looks at her Instagram profile, they might be shocked at the content at first. But that content is very artistic and unique, and a manifestation of her artistic mind. The central message of the movie is about the struggle of artists and what they must put up with it in order to achieve their dreams. I want to show what it is inside of an artist and how much hardships and struggle can be found behind a piece of art, and that those hardships are worth it at the end of the day.
The heart of the story is Belonogata, or Gergana Dicheva, a young artist from Ruse, Bulgaria who has been working hard to achieve her dreams despite the setbacks she faces every day.
I want to make this documentary as subjective as I can, meaning to express every emotion Ger feels through the camera. I want to have different angles such as Dutch angle, and different camera movements. I believe that it could be very chaotic inside Ger’s head and I want to transcend that on the screen. The target audience of this movie is anyone who feels lost or confused. Anyone who feels that they could have done more to achieve their dreams. Anyone who needs inspiration and somebody to identify with. This movie is for the dreamers. For the ones who are still fighting and for those who lost hope. I want to ignite their spark with this movie and show them that dreams are worth fighting for.

Dawn to dusk [videorecording] : the farmer’s life / Sofiya Budeva.
The movie is about the 43-year-old Ilko Galabov, who works as a farmer and believes that agriculture is often overlooked and is often considered as dying. However, he wants to show that there are still people like him and that agriculture in Bulgaria has a future. He is one of the few, especially at this age, who dedicate their time to agriculture. He speaks openly about the struggles farmers have in a society and economy that doesn’t support them.My main character, Ilko, represents a minority that we don’t talk about enough in Bulgaria. People that in my opinion maintain the Bulgarian spirit in an unique way. There is nothing deeper than connecting to your motherland in such a way- by taking care of its fruitful soils. And this is the central message communicated in the film.
